The vegetable garden is used by school groups and for training, and by mid-summer is bursting with a huge range of colourful crops and flowers. This is an area for experimentation as well as learning, as we test different cultivars and different growing methods.

Our orchard contains many varieties of apple, some of which are traditional Scottish cultivars such as ‘White Melrose’, ‘Stirling Castle’ and ‘Tower of Glamis’. The orchard comes alive during our autumn festival, with juicing, apple tasting and other activities, and is also used for winter and summer pruning workshops.
