Plants On The Move

We are delighted to be working with Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, Fife Council, University of St Andrews, Kingdom Housing and the Botanical Society of Scotland, bringing together a wide range of expertise and interests.

Community

St Andrews Botanic Garden supports the community in and around St Andrews in many ways, from providing resources for community groups to use in the Garden.

Conservation

The natural world is full of wonders but the growing pressures of development, biosecurity risks and climate change threaten our environment.

Nest Boxes

If you visit the garden you’re likely to see bird boxes that look like this one. They can also be seen at other locations around St Andrews.

Research

St Andrews Botanic Garden focuses its activities in Conservation and Urban Ecology, and underpinning these missions of research and education.

Tangled Bank

We are creating a new feature in the Garden that will recreate some of Fife’s most threatened habitats, ranging from woodlands to meadows and dunes.
