Saturday 29 June – PROPOGATION FOR BOUNTIFUL GARDENS – Lesley Cunningham

You don’t always need to be buying more plants! In this masterclass you will be taught the careful step-by-step techniques of propagation for a range of Garden favourites. An introduction to the chemical and physical principles of propagation will be followed by teaching sessions covering root, stem and leaf cuttings, division and vegetative propagation. Held at the beginning of the propagating season, you will practice these techniques in the botanic garden, ready to return home to many, many more plants you have created yourself.

Saturday 27 July – 12 KEYS FOR SUCCESSFUL VEGETABLE GROWING – Elliott Forsyth

This masterclass explores the main approaches which underpin the Urban Farm at the Botanic Garden. Applicable to any garden of any size we will unpack some of the key concepts and practical skills necessary for developing a successful vegetable garden.

Saturday 24 August – BULB PLANTING AND PROPOGATION – Beccy Middleton

Bulbs add welcome interest and colour to the garden throughout the year. This Masterclass will include planning and creating bulb displays in the open garden and in containers, using both familiar and unusual species.
